SP-600JX Items
Updated 05/01/99 13:18 UTC

All tube kits are SOLD OUT

I have some SP-600JX items available:

Replacement dial overlays.  Have a chipped, yellowed or faded SP-600 dial?  These are raised letter replacement overlays that install on the BACK of your existing dials.  I have used them on all of my SP-600's.  $50/pair.

Audio modification kits available:

The SP-600JX has what is arguably the best off the shelf audio of any general coverage vintage receiver.  You can improve on it however, this kit comes with instructions and all the parts required to make a very meaningful audio improvement.  $35 for the kit.

RF Coil Kits:  Still Available

Available this time are the RF coils in kit form.  This consists of the 1 antenna and 2 RF coils for each tuning segment (less T-204).  Pictured at the left is a production flat of RF coils.  Each kit will be packaged in individually marked bags.  Thus far, I have not been able to locate the T-204 coil and have reduced the price of the kits.  If this is later found, it will be included at no charge.

Set of RF coils as above:  $50/set - Available as of 3/14/99

To order, please use the order form link at the bottom of this page.

Variable IF Coil Kits:

This kit will consist of all 3 coils for the high failure variable IF's: Z216-1, Z216-2 and Z216-3.

Note:   I have no spare Z-213 coils.

Set of Variable IF coils as above, $35/set - Limit:  2 sets.  Available as of 3/14/99

Erie Trimmers:

As before, I will offer sets of the high failure, Erie Mfg variable trimmers at very attractive pricing.  There are 2 values and I will offer the most commonly used in the radio. $2 set - Available as of 3/14/99

To order, please use the order form link at the bottom of this page.

RF Deck Coil Covers:

Put the final touch on your R390A restoration project by making all the RF Deck Coil covers match by mfg.  Look at your present radio and you will probably see where RF coils have been changed during service with other manufacturers.  It's nice to look into one where all the coils are the same mfg.

Replacing any odd sheet metal covers with the "correct" mfg cover is easy and offers the opportunity to go into the RF deck, remove the coil and after changing the cover, clean and apply De-Oxit to the gold push pins which plug into the RF deck.  The coil cover sets are now offered at the reduced price of $35/set.- Available as of 3/14/99.
