Lao National Radio
- Sharing 6.130 Mhz with the powerful Canadian Broadcaster CHNX, reception of this station is during rare occasions in the fall/winter months. The identifier are the 7 "Big Bell" hits on the hour, plainly identifiable in this recording. CHNX broadcasts on carrier + USB making the key to snagging LNR using LSB ECSS techniques. Sometimes the persistent DX'er can find CHNX off for maintainence on a good Asian morning.

Radio Ancash -Peru offers a diverse buffet of DX targets. Hundreds of regional,
low power stations abound and the lineup seems to change almost daily. Radio Ancash broadcasts on the slightly variable frequency of 4990.91 mHz with about 300 watts. Its programming is rich with
Peruvian "Huyanos," a very unique style of local music. It is also one of the DX stations I use to test the performance of a completed R390A. |
