Train NS-428 is made up of a load of articulated intermodals. Here it is seen crossing the grade at Myrtle, VA heading East on Main #2. The camera settings were 1/125 @ F8. Even at that moderately high shutter speed, the trains 55mph still gives the image a reasonable representation of speed. |

This SD40-2 is one of a pair found sitting, idling away on a cold December afternoon. Both were sitting on a siding next to the Suffolk, VA yard waiting for the next days work.

Train NS-428, with a pair of D9-40CW's in control stops at the signal bridge on the east end of the Portlock yard. Approximately 30 cars will be cut out before the balance of the train will continue eastward toward the Port Intermodal facility in Norfolk. |
